About us

SABAH BAZAAR is a special initiative of SABAH Nepal to bring the products made by the Home based women workers to the global market. 

SABAH Nepal is a social-business organization which works towards strengthening the livelihoods of poor and marginalized women home based workers (HBWs). Since its establishment it has been zeroing in on its mission of empowering the rural and urban poor women working in the informal sector through economic self-sufficiency.

The organization has a strong network of more than 1100 HBWs who have taken membership in the organization. These member HBWs own and manage the organization and are spread all over the country. SABAH Nepal which is funded by SAARC Development Fund has partnerships with Self Employed Women’s Association (SEWA) of India and HomeNet South Asia.

 

Objectives

 

To empower HBWs through economic self-sufficiency by using their own traditional crafts and skills

To utilize available natural resources and enhance their indigenous skills for the production of market 
  oriented products

To provide income to the maximum number of home-based workers, at each stage in the value-added   
  supply chain

To promote and market the products of home based workers

To become a self-sustained business organization
